The romance between Amy and Chandler is a slow burn leading up to an explosion of heat and passion when they take a chance on breaking their friends-only pact.Now don’t worry. This doesn’t mean the first part of the book isn’t smoking hot too. The sexual tension and chemistry between Chandler and Amy is crazy intense and they tiptoe towards crossing the line a few times before going their separate ways in the first part of the story. Chandler has a filthy mouth on him and Amy is a surprisingly adventurous and dirty minded match for him. She’s less experienced and has never had a good experience in bed with other boyfriends, but Chandler unleashes something inside of her and once the fire is lit, there’s no containing her desires.I love sports romance and sometimes, you get a baller with no back story who lets his cockiness and his cock tell the story. In this book you get so much more out of Chandler. He’s got a troubled past, which makes him untrusting of long-term relationships and he’s got a sweet heart underneath his Casanova cloak. There was so much depth to Chandler and I was so glad to read his POV, because it gave me so much more insight into the redeeming qualities and thoughtfulness that Chandler hid a lot of the time.Amy suffers from depression and is constantly battling her negative self-talk and self-image. A few bad boyfriends in a row didn’t help her confidence either, but Chandler loves what he sees in Amy. She’s stunning, intelligent, kind, fun and he enjoys spending time with her, even while he is stuck in the friend zone. Amy’s the first woman he’s trusted with his past and the first woman that’s ever made him think about sharing his future with someone else.Amy’s depression is dealt with in such a compassionate and genuine manner by the author. Her day to day struggles portray the reality of anxiety and depression that many people live with daily. Her mental illness was part of who she was, but it wasn’t going to stop her from living.Overall, just a really, really great sports romance. It had complex, believable characters, a storyline with depth, tons of heat, humour, heart and just the right amount of angst.Standalone novel. HEA. No cliffhanger. No cheating.

Can they really walk away from what they feel and want?I loved Amy and Chandler. Both were honest and upfront. Amy, though at times insecure, was strong and determined. She was funny and sweet. Chandler was strong, determined, honest and so very hot. His past hindered his future and limited what he wanted out of life. Until Amy came and knocked down all his walls.I have to add a side note here. Mickey does a great job writing about someone with depression and anxiety and how it affects not only the person who suffers from it, but those around them. It is not an easy subject to tackle and most just cover it lightly. Mickey brings it to the forefront with and honest interpretation.The Casanova Experience by Mickey Miller was my first read by this author, but definitely not my last. It was a great slow burn romance that consumed me from start to finish. I loved the characters, the writing and the story.Happy reading!
Wonderful, Awesome, Entertaining and Informational. This is a Fantastic book! Chandler is not the Casanova you think he is and Amy has a kind of medical issue. I have to say that was a big eye opener for me. Something I am not familiar with, so I learned a lot.There are serious, dramatic and fun parts. When Chandler found Amy's sleeping pills in the bathroom, had me on the seat of my chair...What was going to happen? Chandler's family background, learning parts at a time through the book and saving the best for last! It was cool learning more about Basketball also!My favorite quotes:Chandler: "We'll just be friends,Score: Brain 1, Penis 0."Amy: "I can't wait to feel you inside me." Chandler: F***, I love hearing you say that."Chandler: "I want to taste all of you." Amy: "No one has ever said that to me before."Chandler: "My shot came back this week." Amy: "Is this your middle school way of telling me you like me?"It was fun spending time with Chandler and Amy, I couldn't help but love them. Root for them, their happy ending.
