Since my undergraduate days more than 40 years ago, I have been a fan of Professor Lathi's books. In general they cannot be beat for clarity, lucid explanations, and solid example problems. For these reasons they are excellent for reference and self-study. Unfortunately, this book falls somewhat short when compared to his others. First, there are some inconsistencies of some definitions from earlier books to this one. For example in 'Signal Processing & Linear Systems' the Sinc function is defined as Sin(x)/x, here it is defined as Sin(Pi x)/(Pi x). Both are legitimate definitions just not consistent from one book to the other. My other major gripe is that there is no answer key to the example problems at the back of each chapter. There are for the Drill problems but these are sparse. For those who use a book for self-study problem answers are critical for complete understanding of the material. Answer keys are usually only available for course instructors. The usual answer for this is that instructors need the answers so that they can use them for homework or exam problems. Any instructor who cannot make up their own test problems should look for another line of work. One star off for the issue of definitions and one star for lack of an answer key.

Like the clarity and humor with which this book presents the material.I would put it in the top 10 of best DSP books.DR. Lathi is an excellent writer and I have his other books which are model of good engineering writing.Charan Langton

Ok this book is very good in terms of explanations, giving additional insight to concepts, and linking the relation between continuous and discrete time signals. However I have some issues with how some chapters and sections are organized. For example, it would make more sense to have the z transform introduced before the discrete Fourier transform. Also it would make more logical sense to group the discussion of the properties of the z transform with the introduction of the z transform and not after the section on the inverse z-transform. Additionally, it lacks detailed procedure or method of how to determine the coefficients of the PDF and rather simply states the techniques to use or get the results from mat lab. Also it doesn't mention the importance of poles or zeros when considering the z-transform. To get to the point, chapter 7 must be redone to provide better understanding and significance of the z-transform.

I absolutely loved learning from this book. The topics covered are thoroughly explained with vivid examples and practice problems. The MATLAB integration makes learning DSP very exciting and applicable! My DSP course was one of my favorites because of this book. I would highly recommend it!

Based on the descriptions, I was hoping this haggadah would still have the traditional haggadah components in addition to the family focused sections. This is not a traditional haggadah, but does meet the needs of families that have children with short attention spans. I was not unhappy with the book, but hoped for a little more when ordering.

We have lots of young children and antsy adults at our seder table, so this haggadah was perfect! It has all the stuff you want - ha lachma anya, vehi sheamda, dayenu, hallel in HEBREW, not English like in so many children's haggadot, but the story of Passover is condensed and understandable. We got through the first part of the seder in an hour, and the kids were engaged and active. I am buying six more and this will be my official haggadah until the kids are grown (and maybe even then, too!).

This was a wonderful Christian Seder Door Prize. It reinforced what I was trying to teach.

We used this Haggadah at a Seder where people ranged from age 2-68, everyone (including those with a more traditional seder typically) felt that this Haggadah covered everything it ought to and made for a well balanced Seder, plenty to read and learn but also plenty to sing and enjoy!

Those seeking a book that follows the traditional DC comic book origin story for her probably won’t appreciate this one. While all the expected characters appear in the book, Catwoman’s origin story as told here is rather different than what one would expect, and it is certainly different than what is told in the various comic book versions.Personally, I loved it. This book kept me so entranced that if there were any typos, I never noticed them. (Any book that can keep me that interested in just reading & not watching for errors is a rare thing these days.) Parts of this story even had me tearing up and wanting to cry. I am very glad that I picked it up. I will definitely be reading the other books that are out about the DC comic book characters and hoping they are just as amazing as this one. I strongly recommend reading it.

This was such a fun ride and I did not expect it to pack the punch it did. I am a big Sarah J. Maas fan and I was so looking forward to Catwoman to see a different side of her writing and I was not disappointed. She delivered an action packed anti-heroine story with a ton of heart and some romance to boot.I absolutely LOVED Selina. She is so fierce and strong and smart and tough and she also has so much heart. At the base of it all her heart is what drives her. She is so easy to root for, even as she is robbing people left and right and causing general chaos. She is simply likable and at her core she’s a good person who just does bad things sometimes.And then we had Ivy, who in a lot of ways stole the show. I truly loved her and loved the friendship that formed between Ivy and Selina. Forever a fan of strong and positive female friendships. Loved Harley too, she’s such a loose cannon and brought so much fun and crazy to the story. And of course I have to mention Luke, aka Batwing. Adored him as well. He is such a good guy and just wants to do right and do something meaningful. And of course I loved Selina and Luke together. It was fun watching them dance around one another and seeing how both sides of their personalities intertwined.I feel like I need to mention though that I am not a comic book reader, it’s just not a medium I ever got into. But I love superheroes and villains as characters and I adore the genre when it comes to movies and other mediums. I mention this because if you are looking for a strict canon Catwoman, this probably isn’t the book for you. This is a new take on Catwoman, and I personally love her, but I recognize that those who are very attached to their version of Catwoman may not love this version. Personally I think the world has enough room for multiple versions and takes on classic characters, but I also get why some people don’t like to see their favorites messed with.Catwoman: Soulstealer was an action packed fun read from beginning to end. It had a great cast of characters and packed a real emotional punch. I just seriously loved this one.

I've always been a big fan of the Dummies books. They're written in such a way that an average person can understand the topic. This book is no different.While searching for a book I came across books written by pit masters. I'm sure they're all wonderful books but I don't want to be a pit master and I don't want to go out and buy most of the ingredients that they say are essential. I just wanted to jazz up my BBQ dishes a bit. I doubt that I'll win a BBQ competition if I follow this book but that's fine.The book is well organized and it's an easy read. The author gives very good tips and encourages you to experiment a bit. It's written in the usual casual style as Dummies books with some light humor sprinkled in to keep it interesting.I've tried more than a few of the recipes and I, and my family, thoroughly enjoyed most of them. A few were so-so but it's a matter of taste.For the average backyard BBQer, I recommend this book.

Like many backyard BBQ'ers I watch the different shows available now showing a myriad of styles, rubs, sauces, etc... I got to where my concoctions were overpowering the meat, and disappointing my friends. This book helped me to take it back a few notches, and understand WHY different seasonings go so well with others. It really improved my game, and my family/friends now ask me to cook for their gatherings regularly. Free food & beer, definitely worth it!I only gave it 4 stars because I think they could have took it a little further with the info, but it is a basics book so I really recommend it if you are looking to go beyond just burning burgers, dogs, and ribs on a grill.

Purchased this for my husband. He enjoys smoking meat...so I thought this would be a great addition to his smoking meat collection. He loves it. He has made several of his own BBQ sauces and Rubs. We have even given them out as gifts at Christmas. He gets lots of compliments on his sauces and his smoked meat.

This was a very good read. Good characters, strong characters. Story line was well done and action was great. It was a gripping story and flowed smoothly. The interaction between Seven & Jenny was touching and built right from the first page. The hunt, the chase, the intrigue were all well written and held my attention all the way through. My only problem, an d here I freely admit it is probably just me being picky, was the almost clueless way that Seven never even seemed to catch on to the sniper teams that were shadowing her and Jenny all the way back to the States. Being that she has been betrayed by an internal enemy and considering the group she worked for I would have thought she would have been more aware of someone tracking her right to the Chairman's house. Still that was minor and took nothing from the story. I truly enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who enjoys suspense and action with their romance. Very well done!

I am a voracious reader and have read many books by a variety of authors but I have to admit that when an author creates a story where it leaves a “footprint” on our hearts then I feel compelled to give this author a review. There is nothing like the feeling of being part of the characters and feel their connection. Ms. Murray has a very creative style! If this suspenseful story is the author's first book, I look forward to many more of Ms. Murray's stories.

So along comes this book with 2 very strong female characters who grow up together but are separated when one of them moves away. One grows up to be an exceptional doctor and the other a Marine commando sniper. After 15 years apart they are propelled back together by fate in a life or death situation. Adevnture and love ensues like you'd expect, but what makes this story so good were the two main characters and their strong and really sweet relationship. A couple of minor details that I thought were odd prevents me from giving it 5 full stars but this book is worth the read all the same. Oh, and BEST last chapter I've ever read. Buy this book just for that!

After reading the reviews, I was not too sure what to expect.To my great surprise and pleasure, this is one of those that I could not put down.Was there too much sex? Definitely, no.Was it unbelievable that a person could only realize she is gay in her twenties? Definitely, not.Two equally strong likeable gorgeous women. Great story line and writing.How I wish more novels are up to this standard.

Very enjoyable book. It has as much intrigue and suspense as any blockbuster movie with very well done character building and a sweet romance. The relationship between Seven and Jenny is very cute from the childhood friendship to the tender romance. The budding romance is paced perfectly, I never thought to myself 'wow, that was quick' or 'get on with it', it's just right. I look forward to more from this author.

A doctor and a sharp shooter, an extraordinary duo. There is plenty of action, suspense, humor and a lot of romance. I fell in love with Jenny and Seven, both gorgeous and independent women. You feel the strong connection between them. It had several good twists and turns. I loved the flashbacks, the dialogues and the dynamic settings. I could not put it down. I just had to known what happens next. This was a very excellent story and I recommend it highly to everyone.

I read a recommendation for this book on Facebook and thought I would give it a try, never having read anything by this author before. What a great discovery! It had adventure, suspense, romance, and a couple of women who could find humor even when running for their lives. I know I will be reading this again and again!

Well I hope Leslie Murray is happy. I read for 6 hours straight and am now at work with 3 hours sleep! I haven't found a story that engaged to me like this one in quite some time. Awesome book. You couldn't choose a more riveting tale or addictive love story. The characters are endearing and the story was something I couldn't put down.
